The Zinfandel grape that we love, originated in Croatia, it grew to popularity in Italy where it’s known as Primitivo, before travelling to our shores in the 19th century. This wonderful grape variety is dominated by hedgerow fruits and if aged in oak barrels, Zinfandel gains wonderful vanilla and tobacco notes. Zinfandel is a perfect barbecue wine, or anything with smoky flavors.
